tech questions about an A16DMS engine

ok, i've been offered an A16DMS engine, possibly with a snapped cambelt, but i'm not sure just yet..

it is from a daewoo tacuma, but please don't laugh...it is specced at 101hp

it appears to be very similar to an X16XEL

i am interested in the bottom end, and was hoping someone in nova land has had anything to do with this engine.. is the block like the X16XEL? or is it like the later Z16XE type??

Aren't they vvti? i know it wouldn't affect bottom end but would lead me to relive the whole engine might be different

It's a family II engine, so should be the same as any other gm lump like that

I found a pic that made me think it is the earlier block type....

as for VVTI, it hardly matters, as the cambelt appears to have snapped.....lol

I'm just after a donor smallblock for a project & free sounds like a bargain to me...
