mk.1 wiper switch, convert to later same stalk

ive checked the 2 switches out, and the later mk.2 stalk with the rear wash/wipe function, has only 1 extra pin.

is it just a case of taking the wire from the seperate wiper switch, on the dash, and adding it to the stalk with a spade connector, to get the all-in-1 switch operational ?
