Nova mk2 1.2 merit + heating will not work

Hi my heating will not work and i have tried bleeding the system by taking the coolant bottle lid off and turning on the blower motor full and there were no air bubbles coming up to the top of the coolant bottle and i've checked both the heater matrix pipes and they are both hot when the engine heats up i don't know what else could cause the heating not to work could it be when i turn the heater control knob it feels like your not doing much any suggestions.

Ye I'm going to take the heater control knob off and check ye cable and that to see what's happening when I turn it

Found the problem the cable is still connected at both ends but whe. I turn it the valve above the matrix doesn't open it looks like the black plastic that is going round the cable is just moving up and down whe. I turn it any suggestions

just pull it by hand my nova has no cables so i do the reach around lol
