View Full Version : Scrapped shell, lost logbook slip help!
Scrapped a corsa shell a month ago and I've lost the slip from the logbook to send to the dvla. Can I just send a letter with a reg no etc saying that it's been scrapped or is it a bit more difficult? Don't want to have to sorn it every year haha! Cheers

You need a certificate of destruction from a licenced end of life vehicle facility sadly
There is no longer the option on the V5.

I'm sure a sorn renews automatically every year now, I've got the same problem as you, everyone tells me to make up a name and address and send it off
Send a letter saying you are using it for autograss.

Do they then class it essentially as scrapped?
So people have told me in the sport yes.
I wrote to them saying a car had been scrapped and they accepted it with no further info

Me too. Ive also simply written over the V5 the word "scrapped" in big black letters, never had any bother.
Sounds good will try a letter first!
