Well after getting a link to this from Dgbnova I went for a look at this a few days ago. Picked it up today. It's really clean got a few imperfections that will need sorting out but all in all I'm chuffed :)

Yeah Dave a bit of hassle but worth it I hope. Side Clip is broken on the front bumper most if the clips are broken on the grille bit of rot on the o/s rear chassis leg where the tow bar bit is. But apart from that it's pretty good.

ill lk get more pics up next time I'm at the lockup. I want the engine bay resprayed before dumping the engine in as well. The plan was to buy it, engine in then sell but untether like it. Not driven a nova I'm about 6 years so I might take it on the road for a while.

It's in my lockup just now, it'll be picked up in the next few weeks I'd think. I think I'm going to regret selling but hey ho. I'm sure Dave will make good use of it, I just don't have the time for it with having 2 other projects.

Here's some pics I've taken today the good and bad. It's got bubbles on both wings, Clip Brocken on front bumper and towing eye has snapped from the rear leg.

Has yellow bilsteins all round rear disc conversion. Boot floor is good nic just a bit dirty could do with a good wash.

Been having a hard time deciding whether to sell this or not. I've not got much free time just now but I'd like to get the engine in and enjoy it before selling so I think I'll be holding onto it for a we while.

Spent quite some time cleaning it today came up really well. What can I do to fix the front bumper with the Broken clip?
Oh and before anyone says the bonnet isn't lined up properly etc it's not bolted onto the hinge it's just placed on just now.

Cheers, a pity about the we bubbles on the wings but I'll get that sorted out. I'd like to take it to some shows in the summer and maybe keep it until the red one is finished,who knows. Ill be giving the underside a good clean at the weekend aswell.

I would Tech7 (serious stuff) the old square plastic retaining mount onto the bumper and leave for a day. It will be stuck solid then to bolt back up.

One of these take it off rough it up a bit and clean the back of the bumper were the block goes then sika or the other stuff mentioned done know that one

Hopefully I'll make it to billing. It's getting the engine out of my red gsi but it used to always break down lol it would randomly cut out now and then not start for about 10 mins then be fine for weeks at a time. I won't be taking it anywhere until that's sorted what ever it is lol

I removed the screen wash and header tank going to try and clean them tonight. Need a few shots of the bay. There's lots of seam sealer etc I'm going to remove it all and get the bay freshly painted it's the only thing that let's the car down. Hopefully I'll have it mint for summer :)

What you guys think..should I smooth the engine bay or take off all the seam sealer pish and get it looking factory?

i just mean the inner wings where the turret joins.

last thing that needs sorted out then I can drop the engine in and get it on the road.

Tbh I've been thinking about dropping my let in for the time being until the red one gets nearer finished. I may have cracked the block in my gt4 so I need something nippy to rip about in for the time being. Just don't want to ruin it that's all.
