If all of the systems get hooked up, then god help us, I don't think I'll ever try to pass one of those midget hearses again for fear of embarassment.

kinda makes me wanna get started on my V8 nova, Looking for a nice cheap rover V8, prefferably a 3.5l as any bigger an i think bits might have to be cut out, hmmm maybe they will anyway.

What sorta suspension setup you gonna be looking at for that then??

Heard that the 2.5 v6 lump caused loads of problems for the suspension in the front of the nova that Karthik(?) did.

its not mi 16, its a gti 6 engine with a 5 speed box

Aragorn
18-09-03, 10:24 PM
well heres the first problem i see ref the skyline engine vs that gti-6 one

gti-6 is a transverse engine and box and it designed to be mounted across the car like it is

the skyline is laterally mounted and if placed in the back of that the tranny would be sticking out the boot
if u attempted to transverse mount it then fair enough but i'd like to see what transmission u used and anyone accomplishing a transverse mounted skyline engine in a 106 would have photos glaore and mag features coming out his eyeballs (fuck the engines prolly wider than the car)

and the other option of placing it in the front of the car after a lot of chopping around would endup with the front diff on the box lining up with yer front doors rather than the front wheels and half the front cabin filled with a gearbox - which aint a lot of use methinks
