Shamelessly nicked from RetroRides, but for those who don't frequent there and in my poor attempt to keep chatting about pictures of Novas on the forums rather than crappy Facebook.......

also seen this on faceache, love the car, love the engine bay, hate the wheels. but that's individuality for you.

I really like that, the bay looks awesome. Not a fan of the wheels at all, each to their own though.

I would love a set of genuine RS Turbofans. Very hard to find and incredibly expensive. Not quite sure how he has got those to fit with standard arches so fair play to him. Must have done some clever barell, lip, centre maths.

Just to clarify those are the run of the mill BBS RS wheels, the turbofans are the bolt on attatchments which were designed to cool the brakes

Very clean it has to be said. Grey check seats looking nice in there too. Love the bay, engine & wheels.

Not a GSi bumper or Alessio 2 in sight. :thumb:

I'm totally in love with this car, saw the photos on FB and shared the funk out of them. Car is everything i love, ultra clean, smooth, low, mega awesome engine bay.

One thing i did wonder was the lack of alternator.. Unless its on the front, but can't see why you would.

Love the fans on the rims, they are custom made by a guy/place in Germany some where.. Seen a few cars with them. Car at RRG had a set.. Looked ace.

Looking at it again, i'd say widend arches... If you look at the lines on the front wing. Both are much farther along than normal.

How does he top up the oil....

That style of wheel works on that Porsche, but not the nova IMO; possibly the colour and or ride height, but it's not for me.

His tyre's are also on the wrong way.

Nah nah it's a euro car, driving on the wrong side and all that...

I guess the tread pattern's fine for reverse

All that engine needs is some cheeky ARP head studs to complete the look (& function). :)

Look normal dude, just running stretched tyres like my 165's.

Here's a pic you took of mine? arch looks same to me.?

Hhhmm you're right, looking at it again. Then again his front wheels are miles in from the arches. Really high offset maybe.

That engine surely doesn't even run?

No vac line from dizzy, no alternator and no where to fill oil

mk1nova_rich

Why would you go to all that bother of cutting and smoothing the bulkhead then fit downdraughts? lol

Clean car but I'm not a fan of the wheels or stretched tyres

Hardly a hard task to take of a rocker cover and top it up is it?

Ben (boffer) has to do this as his is solid.

No...its far easier than unscrewing a cap :wtf: right pain in the **** just to fill with oil

Is this the first car you have ever seen that after being altered it became less practical?

Probably not, but I can't think of owt that trumps doing away with the oil filler cap

Awesome nova! Excellent example of less is more. If you take a look at the other pics, it's been fitted with various cnc rocker covers.

Different fuel pump so doesnt need the vac line? Gel race battery? They dont charge like normal iirc.

Proper dizzys have fixed ignition advance. Have a look on hockleys website ;). Could be a sprint car and running a total loss system

Nice to finally see another downdraft manifold

With the amount of miles he probably does being only a show car it will only need topping up once in a blue moon, if used regular then it would be shît though.

Oil filling is easy high pressure oil pump seen on used for a car with knackered sump plug removed oil via the dipstick also had option to pump in same way simples
nice, clean, unusual and 4 pages long already so must be something about it lol

BRoadGhost
14-09-14, 01:21 PM
Could be a dry sump / accusump maybe?

Total loss electrics baffles me; the height of impracticality.

It looks like a garage queen anyway, so I doubt it runs other than to hear it purr whilst being chamois'd off on a driveway.

Why cause 6 photos make it look so? It could have just been rebuild, or had a mini refurb for the mag shoot it's been in (in one photo)
Just cause the fronts not stone chipped to funk doesn't mean it lives in the garage.
