Gents

I'm over in the North East next week and have some time to kill, are there any scrap yards or dismantlers in the area, obviously anywhere where there might be a Nova/Novas will be ideal.

Thanks

the north east is a vast area.Be a little more specific as to where youl be passing/going.

If you can find a Nova in a scrap yard round the north east your a better man than I am. Having said that darlo has a few good scrap yards but you unfortunately won't be seeing any novas. Plus most of them are run by pikey ****ers(nothing unheard of lol) that will only let you in to look around if you look like one of their own. When visiting scrap yards I always get dressed for the occasion in the scruffiest clothes I own and park around the corner so they don't see that you have a nice car lol. Inless of course you are driving a **** piece in which case that will work in your favour lol.

we used to spend our saturday mornings in the local scrap yards, finding old novas minis, metros, escorts etc.. then as the years (5-10) passed we all bought better cars and stopped messing with cars so much.

I was passing the larger local scrap yard a couple of weeks ago and thought id call in to waist half hour. I was bloody shocked, it was full of what me and my old mates would call new cars lmao. focus's clios, mk4 astras, mk4 golfs meganes mk6 fiestas etc, not a singal "retro" car in sight.

The scrapage scheme killed most of our retro cars and replaced them with utter garbage. Think of all the epic little cars that people will of crushed in order to get 2k of a brand new **** piece lol.

Sad times, they just don't make cars like they used to, they are to economical and safety focused which just kills all the fun.

When i very first started seeing My mrs she traded her corsa in on the scrapage scheme. Was the tidiest corsa b I've ever seen, in Arden blue with about 70k on it. :(
