Nova alternator lowering bracket

Running twin 40s on a 1.6 and got the bracket but the belt touches it? And the fins catch in it aswell occasionally. It's a 1.2 alternator if that makes a difference

You need a longer tensioning arm to go with it which pushes the alternator back more.

I made one out of threaded bar and rose joints, more than long enough and adjustable but still have the problem,
