who's tried this ?

did you have to change the piston heads to bring the comp back up ?

you'd want to measure the compression ratio and then have the head skimmed to suit a better CR (if it was much under 9.5:1 imho )

it will be low on a std 1.2, but if for example, on a 1.3 with a rebore & 1.2 pistons, it would be quite good

how about 1.4 flat top pistons in the 1.2 to bring the comp up ?

there only 0.2mm smaller bore, with new rings, might be ok ?

its the lack of stroke that causes the lack of compression

ah right.
short stroke = poo i guess

ill scrap that idea lol

cheers

short stoke is good for revs etc.

its the "possibly" larger conbustion chamber from the 1400 head that would cause issues

It is much larger. Would need a fair chunk skimming off
