Gearbox issues

I've got an f13 and having a little bit of trouble getting it out gear to set up the linkage. As it is there is no linkage attached and i need to get it into neutral but it don't want to play ball. Any idea how to get it out of gear without hurting it?

i was gonna say push the shifter arm all the way in, and then pull it out 1 click, thats neutral.

if the shifter arm wont move in or out, you might need to undo the 4 bolts on the shifter box, and lift it off, to check the 3 U-shaped arms inside the box are lined up.

sometimes helps move it with the clutch down, if youve got a breaker bar you can jam against the pedal, while your moving things

it shouldnt be that hard to get into neutral with just the selector turret.... as above, take it off and line it up that way as it might be stuck in two gears at once so it cant move (or the selector is siezed)
