I'm useless with wiring diagrams so if someone could give me some guidance it'd be great, i got a 1.4 sr ignition set-up for my e16se on 40's but it's off an astra mk2 so not plug and play unfortunately. it does have the positive battery cable and the big multi plug still attached so I if cold find out what they all do then I could wire it in like that i guess. any help appreciated rep will be given! cheers

what have you got on that ?

black, brown and green coming out of the multiplug, and another black and green coming out the coil plug ?

lol, omg that looks confusing...

ok, to start with, the big old beast, 7 pin plug goes to the coil module
the 2 wire connector (1 green, 1 black) goes to (-) negative on the coil
the other 2 wire connector (1 blue/black, 1 yellow/black) goes to the dizzy
the brown wire coming out of the 7 pin module goes to a good solid earth/ground
the 7 pin module black links to the negative coil black (and then both given a switched live)
the 7 pin module green links to the negative coil green (and then both sent to rev gauge green wire)

... i think thats about right .. its bloody spaghetti junction down there lol

to be fair, from what i can see in the pics, it looks good to go (the coil side atleast) :thumb:

the big fat chunky red one, that looks like a medi-eval murder weapon, goes to the battery :)

So as far as the coil is concerned there is just a switch live and an earth no permeant live?

yeah, only switched live to the black wire.

if put on a permanent live, they burn themselves out after an extended period of time :thumb:
