Todays Fail

Land rover wheel bearing shot and leaking diff oil all over my drive.Spotted after the school run at 3:15.
Removed hub and bearing assembly by 4:20.
Rang parts place near Selby (great price and always have ya bits in stock) we close at 5:30.Im setting off now mate I said,45miles from here so I was really pushing it.
Hit traffic at 5pm at York,i rang him and told I might be close to 5:30 but I was in traffic,and was deffo going,"thanks for your call"
Gets there at 5:24,parts waiting.
Back on the road at 5:29.
Now tomorrow gotta box it back up and ready to tow again for sundays racing.:)
Land Rover Trade Parts/Quattro are really good.

Aye I thought of that but it was very last minute and both the kids demanded to go too so was in a mk5 astra with only the boot as room lol
I do have to go to Holme On Spalding Moor very soon as I have some manta wheels to pick up too,so will be in said fail wagon so can fit it all in! lol

this is a good thread idea..... how to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat etc....basically finding a positive in a negative world... there should be more of these uplifting stories to keep us lowly nova owners cheerful

there is a thread on mig at the moment where a certain nova owner didn't ring ahead to a hose mfr & is now in the process of trying to shut him down with a large interweb shatstorm because the bloke had to nip out & shut up shop when said person turned up...........
