Afternoon all
Signed up yesterday to have a look about after deciding to have a bid on a nova gte project on ebay. I put a bid in near the end of the auction and managed to win it. So I signed up for membership this morning as I will bout doubt be sticking around and needing plenty of help and advise along my restoration. Hopefully I will be collecting it next weekend :)
I've been on corsa sport and migweb for years but not owned a vauxhall for 5 years now.
I will get a thread up in the projects section with some pictures and info on it.
Anyways enough waffle lol hello everyone :thumb:

Well it'll be my first attempt at a restoration so it'll be a massive learning curve for me but I would like to get it back to its former glory
Would like to get it stripped down and all fab work done where needed, fresh paint and put back together with new or refurbished parts.
Exterior I'd like to keep pretty standard but upgrade the suspension, brakes and running gear etc..
It will be a slow process I think :)
Can't beat a red gte,but i am slightly biased..good luck with the project and welcome to png :thumb:

Thanks mate, Yeah was flicking though ads on eBay last night and come across it with just over an hour to go. Put a bid in and here we are lol
its not a silk violet GSi like I've always wanted but I reckon the wait for one would be a lot longer
Yeah definitely! After the red GTE i saw at billing this year I'd be more than happy with one!

I also decided if it turned out to be a heap I was gona let the guy keep the deposit and take the car back to Ireland lol. I hope you are happy with it and you need to change your user name to MurphyGte ;).

I'll be on edge myself aswell till I hear from the fella collecting it lol made the transfer this afternoon so fingers crossed all goes well. The couple I have bought the car from seem like good people and have been more than helpful.
Good call on the name change lol

Well the gte has just arrived and now tucked away in my garage :)
Looks worse than it did in the pictures from what I can see with a quick look but it's pitch black and pissing down here. All fun and games off loading it lol
I will get some pics and a bit more info up when I get in from work tomorrow and have a proper look at it.
All in all I'm happy to have an original gte. Will be another one saved :thumb:
Loaded up ready to go:
