1.6 enigne and 1.2 exhuast

as my car got a new rear bumper i asked the body shop to put a new standard 1.2 one on ive got in my garage, now ive got a 1.6 engine in will it not run, I'M NOT HAVING IT ON FOR LONG! but will it run ok for the mean time till i get another exhaust put on, cars de-catted aswell.

thats a bit confusing

but if what your asking is wether your 1600 will run with a 1200 back box the answer is yes

youve prolly still got the entire 1200 system on there cos running the GTE exhaust system with the 1.2i management would have resulted in melting the pistons due to running extremely lean since wihtout the lambda probe fitted to the original manifold the car would be fuelling for a 1200 not a 1600 :o

im running a 1.0 saloon backbox on me 1.4 and its fine

I had a whole 1.2i exhaust system running on my 1.6 for about a wekk. no problems at all (just a bit restrictive)

all nova exhausts are the same diameter... ffs i had a 1.2i system on my 2.0 16v for a year.... and still got 163bhp

yeah ok i missed out a few words and didnt knwo what i meant.
thanks anyway guys u answered my question, and i AM still runnign the 1.2 injection system so it will be ok yeah?
