View Full Version : Fitting Electric Windows

Hi,

I'm fitting electric windows and central locking to my Nova Luxe which didn't come with them as standard. I have the complete e/w and c/l wiring loom, along with the e/w motors and c/l mechanisms. The only thing I am unsure of is where to drill the hole(s) on the doors and A pillars.

From what I remember on my old SRI, the holes were near the bottom of the doors and, as such, the A pillars, although it was so long ago that I cannot remember if that is correct. There are two 20mm markings near the bottom of the doors, and I wonder if these are the holes for both the e/w and c/l wiring to feed through? or whether drilling through one of the 20mm markings would be enough to feed both the e/w and c/l wiring through?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Tony

Should be offset from each other or they'll kink and split

That is, the wires I presume? Thus two holes should be drilled, yes?

Yes mate anywhere you see fit really, no exact place it has to be, I still haven't drilled the holes for mine haha

The holes were centre punched from the factory on my old mk2
