Wil try to cut a long story short....

Had a letter arrive a year or so ago about overhead power cables. Filled out forms and returned. Mo.the passed, but got a letter about payment to be made. Sweet. Or so I thought.... at the 11th hour other sides solicitor found an unregistered deed of easement so case was closed.

Today documentation arrived about registration of said unsigned deed.

Now, I am reluctant to sign as in my eyes an unregistered deed is not valid surely? Also having just sold our house I don't want this to cock the same up.

Do I have grounds to reject application and Chase what I am owed? Asked solicitors who originally sorted claim but as closed case they suggested speaking to my solicitor who I dealing with house sale.

Any legal boffins shed any light?

Thanks.
