engine choice

moving to a different class in autograss next season, engine choice will be between 1.6 16v or 1.8 16v .... anyone have any ideas which is better , more reliable or more tuneable ??
will be the small block version so can still stay on my f13 g/box.

Personally id say 1.8,z18xe is a really good engine.So are the 1600's though,but 1800 is faster.

supersaloons down our way, a cross between your class 6 and 7, can't afford a red top before anyone says it lmao
our tracks are alot narrower than than nasa ones so not really all about the power

cant afford a 20xe in what way matey? the 18xe1 is a good motor but for ease of getting parts the 16xes id say are more readily available. tbh depending on spec you wanted all 3 cost about the same anyway.

as in they go for silly money, then theres g/box, shafts hubs etc

Id go for the X18xe.

Z18xe1 is the true small block 1800, but if you go x16xe your f13 will still be usable.

it will fit your box... the z18xe & x18xe1 are very similar.
