C20let Phase 3 issues

A couple of months back I bought some second hand phase 3 chips for my let. I've just got round to fitting them and taken it out for a drive but it only boosting to about 8-10 psi.

i previously had phase 2 which boosted alot higher.

Although its not boosting very high, everything else is fine. The engine is running smooth, no ecu lights, no boost cut etc etc.

its almost as if the chips are standard and someone has just stuck a sticker on them saying phase 3.

fuel pressure has been increased to 4.5 bar.

any thoughts on this?

Do you know who made the chip sets? Maybe as you say stickered up as phase 3.
Are you needing other upgrades to suit for a phase 3 like different fuel pump and injectors??

No I don't know 100% who made them, I presumed they where genuine by the stickers but I guess not.

No, that's only for phase 3.5 I believe.

Have you tried turning the acutator up a touch

Genuine phase 3 has the adjuster you need to solder in too

I dont think genuine really exist any more. I have 4 sets gen ph2 chips here.. All with different stickers on.

Regal still sell phase 3 and 3.5 a mate bought some last month

I haven't no, but I would of thought with the actuator set up for phase 2 I would of at least boost the same.

I've adjusted the actuator today, from 1st to 3rd nothing has really changed boost to 10 psi and drops to 8 psi.

once I'm in to 4th the boost climbes to about 16 psi.

this doesn't seem right to me?

In 3rd it shoulds be making way more boost. Mine makes more than that....
