I am a complete fucking weapon.

I used to ride a Peugoet Speedfighter, but it has been off the road cos I couldn't be arsed insuring it again (cos i'm getting a car ASAP when one turns up), but yesterday I had to get somewhere quick, so I jumped on it and drove about 3 miles down the road before I got pulled into a police check area (where they check your tyres, and give you a PRODUCER!!! Oh shit!)

Anyway, I have tax, mot and the right licence, but no insurance. I know this message is going to get shit loads of reply?s saying ?this will teach u a lesson??and I realise what has happened! I could get 6 points which means I am banned, and that?s before I?ve even owned my own car!!!

The reason for this message is to see if this has happened to anyone else? My plan is to get sum insurance today, get them to send a cover note through and go the my local police station (who are pretty slack with procedures) and hope that they somehow don?t notice the dates. I know I have a 90% chance of getting caught, but it might be my lucky day (and I?m fucking due one!) and I might be the 1 in a million that gets away with it.

Do u think this is my best plan of action? Should I not produce? Should I just go and fucking top myself?

I need help?NOW!!!!! I?m in deep sha shit?..

It is up to u m8,if you dont produce u will have about 6 months of worrying then u will get a summons to go to court, I would say that if u produce and the dates dont match up they will spot it straight away coz that is what they are checking for. the reason i know is because this happened to me 3 years ago and i still have 6 bastard points on my license and the insurance companies are wankers about it.

I think if you get your cover note, you'll be home and dry. My insurance company used to send me a cover note every month to cover me 4 that month & then after a few months send me the one 4 the year. You could just say yours does this 2. And when you go there, if they say anything, just say it is the latest 1.

Get a cover note and keep it mint, then scan it in and change the dates/reg number/anything you want and then reprint in on a good laser printer. you have 7 days to complete this task........

They dont phone your insurance company if that is what you mean. I wish I had a cover note coz the points stay on your lisence for 4 years m8, dont mean to scare u though.
try getting a quote from an insurance company and quote the conviction code IN10 and listen to them laugh at u, trust me I know.

Police do check dates, and the also ring insurance companies to check if the cover note is valid, if you do copy it and get found out, you will get hammered in court.

Going back to the original comment, my mate got pulled for not wearing a seatbelt, he got a fine on the spot and then the police realsied he had no insurance. He managed to blag it and said he was getting insurance that day and was running his girlfriend to work, which is what he was doing, anyway, he got insured on the car that day and took the paperwork to the police station and explained his situation again. So far he's not had a summons or heard anything, that was over 6 months ago. I don't want to say he's got away with it, because there might just be a massive back log of these sort of situations. Also, my so called friend is now a wanker and I hope he gets 6 points on his license, (no, I'm not like the Murphys I am bitter). Get your documentation, suck the policemans cock - not litererly (excuse the spelling) and cross your fingers.

my insurance company came round my house when i bought my poilcy i saw how he just put a bit of company paper in his portable inkjet and printed me off a document so i would say u shoud be ok scanning and prining if u use a good printer. Also u've done nothing wrong (well as far as they know) so they shouldn't be 2 hot on checking documents!! oh and Kissin ass :p usually helps. End of the day they are all pricks!! B-)

Well I h8 tossers who drive without insurance !!
In september I was driving along minding my own business when some wanker in a bit van pulled across my lane and smacked into the side of mmmy car, smashing my front bumper, ripping off my wing mirror, gauging a massive hole in my quarter panel (insurance write off) scratching the whole side of my car and breaking my rear passenger side window !!!
I stopped, goign fucking ape shit and the wanker pulled off throught the red lights and fucked off up the road, I chased him, for about 5 mins driving like a nutter trying to get him to stop. He went down every road in Maidenhead with speedhumps in it so I couldn't keep up with him and eventually he went the wrong way road a massive roundabout and I lost him. I thought I was sorted coz I got his number plate.
I went straight to the old bill and reported it. 6 moths later (Feb) I ghet a letter from the wankers saying the owner was driving without insurance and the van was reported stolen so I GET NOTHING !!!!!
As im not fully comp I had to fork out of my own pocket and fix the fucking car.

THAT IS WHY I HATE WANKERS WHO DRIVE WITH NO INSURANCE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I think we just slightly got off the point with this string of messages.

Ged, I do feel sorry for you becoz I couldn't imagine what it would be like to loose your license. However I think that it is a lesson for alot of people that drive without insurance, think twice before you do it ! For what it would have cost you to get a cab those 3 miles, weigh that up agianst the value of your license.

Any way I wouldn't want a fellow nova owner to loose their license and I think you have learnt your lesson from this scare,

Yup....2 night is when i go and produce. I've only got an Insurance cover note that starts a day after I was pulled, so what i'm gonna do is 'blind' them with documents. I'm gonna hand in my tax disc (even though its not needed, it just builds up an image in the coppers head that I'm a law obiding citizen!!!), my driving licence, my cover not and my MOT. If i am very lucky they might just glance through them all and make sure that I have actually got insurance, MOT etc and let me go. If they realise the date for my insurance starts after when i was pulled, I'm gonna say that i was travelling to an insurance broker (which is about 200 meters away from where i was stopped) to get insured that morning, but i was pulled so I couldn't. I'll then say the bike has been off the road from the time I was pulled to now. I'll then say that "I took the bike off the road as soon as I was pulled and got my insurance sorted as soon as I could, which is why the date is late...(now please let me off u sock cooking piglet)...

After driving a ped 4 a year, and then nearly having my licence taken off me...I can't wait to drive...It will be that much sweeter after all that's happened (if i get off the bastard thing)

try and blame it on your insurance company, say that you agreed to have cover from the day you were pulled and say that they were supposed to have coverd you from 12.00am on the xx of the xx. Try and make out they fucked up and that it wasn't your fault, and to make yup for their incompetence you have subsequently been without transport and going through all this bollox, who are the insurance company anyway ?
