Either will be sufficient to anchor a small boat.

Ok thanks for that will try it when my mate gets his new boat but what where would u say is best to put the chain on the lifting eyes or just wrap it around the engine

If you are going deep sea fishing i would 100% put the chain on the lifting eye!.

You can lift the engine out by the lifting eyes on the manifold studs or by wrapping some rope round it in a series of optimistic twists.

there the same arent they ?

isnt it just the carb/inlet manifold that differed them apart ?

heheh lol

i had a vision of a small fishing boat, out at sea, with captain birdseye rolling one off the side, attached to a chain :)

so you took a perfectly good 100bhp 1600 engine, and strangled it with the 1300 carb/inlet..... nice.
