Hi all,

I am nearing the stage of fitting my engine (C20LET) and (F28) gearbox into my Nova. Having read a few posts about modifications to the gearbox linkage, I thought I would ask on here to see if I could get any specific advice/tips on what to do, such as rose jointing the linkage for ease of adjustment and where I can get this done?

The other modifications to the tie bars (i.e., lowering of), rear gearbox mount (spacer kit), and re-tapping the gearbox itself to accommodate the rear gearbox mount spacer kit are all familiar to me and pose no problem; it is literally just the gearbox linkage modification that I am a little stuck on and therefore could do with some help in carrying out the necessary modifications.

Regards,
Tony

THere is a "How too" in the How too part on the forum. I've made two using that guide and they've both need perfect.

There is a How too on rose jointing found below... Or if you want it done, Grunt16v can make them up for you....

Excellent, thank you both for the links. If Grunt16v can make a sterling job of doing it, then I might just ask him if he would oblige. I'm having the gearbox sent off to a specialist to have an ATB LSD fitted as well as the blue F28 speedo ring removed and changed to the black F20 one to give the correct reading from the GTE digital dash, so I will ask them first if rose jointing the linkage is something that they can do.

Cheers,
Tony

So... I understand how to perform the requisite modifications in rose jointing my (F28) gear linkage. What remains unclear, however, is whether to and exactly what section of the linkage requires cutting and re-welding?

Any help/pictures better than the one used in the above links would be appreciated.

Cheers,
T
