Bumper beam and brackets

Is there a difference in length on the bumper beam brackets from a Gsi bumper and standard bumper cause I got a Gsi bumper and it keeps popping off the bumper beam but I used the brackets off a standard bumper bean cause the gsi one never came with them on when purchased anybody with any ideas and help

Take the beam off the body & off it up to the inside of the bumper.

Cut / Weld if / where necessary.

Think they're the same for all mk2s. The bracket can pop off the bumper if the plastic tabs are mangled that hold it to the bar.

More than likely the bumper has been just pulled off the bumper bar and bent all the plastic tabs. Put the bumper on the bar then put some self tappers through the bumper tabs to stop them pulling back through the bar.
