My Silk Violet Nova GSi

Been on here a few years now but haven't actually had a nova till now.

Last week I bought a silk violet nova gsi so thought id put up a thread..

My mate who I bought it off insists its done only 26k but theres no proof. Before this year the last MOT was in 2006, with 21k on as its been off the road after that year from then till now, its had new arches, and a few other bits underneath.

Not much else to say about it atm so heres some pics;

Plans are to lower it, new exhaust system, wheels, then change a few things to make it cleaner, ill update as I go :thumb:

Thanks for all the comments, well as I won't be doing any major things to it until around september, I thought id put up some pics of the underneath while it was over the pit.

Its had a new painted petrol tank fitted, the usual places in the boot that rust have been repaired, and the whole underside has been undersealed. Just needs a couple patches on the sills welded, one patch in the engine bay, and the front valence then it will be solid from what we can see.

Also got some 90mm and 60mm springs, so will have a play with them at some point and see which height ill be going for!

A question as well, does my car need a cat to pass mot? Been getting different answers from different people.

Got a couple of centre caps today, wanted to see whether I liked the wheels more with them fitted. Quite like them, thinking of staying original and just lowering it a tad but we'll see!

The previous owners dad sprayed his garden fence next to the car so it had little brown dots all over the drivers side, took me about an hour to get them all off!

The colour won't be to everyones taste, but had the paint and it matches the petrol tank so

While the engine was out, we changed the cambelt, water pump, and clutch! Also steam cleaned the engine and painted the block

The sideskirts were colour coded badly so while they were off I steam cleaned the paint off so now there back to standard black

I cant believe for the price of what sills are you have put god awful patches and that crap underseal on it.Would have been such a better job to replace the sill completely.
Rest of the car looks well.I like what you have done with the anti roll bar
