what you think or know about this gsi nova

im thinking of byeing this nova gsi and fitting a xe I have but it mint shell but needs a lot so will need help getting gsi seats carpet ect what ya think it been started by a few and not finished I tort about have std cross member fitted back to it

Well known car on here, ive had my eye on it for a while but lack of cash has stopped me buying!!

A decent shell makes a project a damn sight easier so go for it...parts are still fairly easy and cheap to get hold of

If youre wanting to go for a completely standard gsi look, this might not be the one for you. But it is an awesome shell

only think that worrys me is the front cross member im only going to run a c20xe but want to fit it up in side as a gsi again as that what it started of at, but in finding what I need , i could do with rotten gsi just for parts

That cross member is stronger than the original so I cant see the concern?

ive had few std gsi i know this one cant go back to that but it rot free and this is why thinking of a xe, but think gsi seat back in it std gsi tail gate but keep front wings and bonnet and may be in time are out c20let in it or z20let if it comes more common

cause it never been tested or on the road there all so no front anti roll bar may be im just being silly

If you have the money/its reasonably priced (I dunno how much it is) then whats there to think about?
Without extensive bodywork its never gonna be standard again so who cares?

no anti roll bar is a matter of preference.Wouldnt be difficult to refit should you want it.

It used to belong to a trolley dolly, so may have seen some anal action.
That would concern me more than the cross member, which is well up to the job.

Its up for around 1500 notes as per Facebook advert. May even come with a free set of headlamp protectors which i paid for and never turned up!!!

Also will need to run a few other after market mods like corsa b servo and pedal and battery in boot, think it might be geared for Cav internal shifter too

if I get it will fit the std servo may be even put std cross member back on but may be it more work than what it worth but could be some think nice again or wait for clean std gsi to turn up

Wait for a clean standard GSi to turn up would get my vote. However you could be waiting a long time.

Please dont put standard cross member back in, that would be daft, and front anti roll bars on Novas belong to the bin anyway!

Reason I wouldn't buy this car is it didn't have a floor at one point then it got one welded in so makes me wonder if its still straight

Yeah dont go putting standard panels etc back on. Its done to a very good standard so in my opinion if its not what you want id look for another

really didn't have a floor how come if that the case mite stay a way few people have ownen it but never gone back on the road, should of kept my white nova gsi ,


silk violet one needs lot of work and it miles a way I want clean shell know that's lot to ask as getting old I don't mind doing a bit but not a full restore

Shame to sell that i really do think it could take years to replace such an example unless your pockets are deep and you start making generous offers!

I can't see why you couldn't buy this, got all the looks and is a very good shell. Plus better cross member and rear turrets.

Having no floor wont have bent/move or anything as the floor in a Nova isnt really structural.
