Hi, I am just wondering has anybody ever restored their nova to the original underside factory look? What products and process did they do?
I am just debating to myself whether to restore it original or paint it the same color as the car (Black GSi, diamond black). Any help, tips and comments Please :thumb:

It would have been a mixture of underseal and overspray as no nova was ever fully painted on the underside as the cars were not dip painted
In my eyes if you're gonna restore it. Do it better than they did. As they did a poor ass job.
Underseals, the better you can get the better. I use the 3M range as its one of the best.

I used this stuff,

Did it about 2 or so years ago and it still looks the same. Its not over paintable and doesn't 'dry' as such as it is bitumen based but that means it won't chip off. I was told by some mates that I should use something else as stuff would stick to it but it seems to just shrug everything off, I'm always pleasantly surprised when I look underneath.

Ya was thinking that, I'd say the best way is to underseal with a good product and paint it the car colour. Maybe a few shiney bits:thumb: Cheers lads
Over paintable stuff is best in my eyes.
