right guys I put a thread up last week about my c25xe conversion into my nova and ive now cleared up some of my issues I have now got the car running and driving so im keen to get the next issues sorted asap so I can drive the bloody thing the problem I am having is that my f16 gear box is touching the tie bar and yess I have ground the lug off on the casting so its now all flush but its still hitting  I belive the car is on spax shocks and springs ans shock are yellow and spings are red but but no stickers on them so have no idear im also guessing its on a 30-40mm drop but its still on the original 13''3 spoke alloys could it be because the wheight of the engine is causeing the shocks to bottom out? if so im thinking of fitting some springs from a diesel nova to help with the heavy v6 wheight and idears?????

Try lowering the tie bar with a kit

what kit is that as the usall kit you use on a c20xe conversion goes between the tie bar and anti roll bar doesn't it? and that's on to make clearance for the manifold which isn't my issue can you space it down from the front cross member?

I didn't think the anti roll bar kit would do anything so basically where the tie bar bolts to the cross member I need to space it down there? who does the kits anyone no?

sounds like a couple bits of 1 inch box section will do the trick

Cut the small tab off the gearbox or buy the lowering blocks

have already ground the lug of the gear box but its still hitting and I cant find a company that make a purpose mate kit to lower the tie bar you can get kits for lowering the anti roll bar but that's not what I need so may have to be a home made job

No, you don't weld the mount to the front panel, you extend the vertical part of the mount that you put the 3rd short bolt in.

Its the kit you use to space down the BOTH the tie bars and roll bar (if fitted) when using the F28 six speed gearbox.

Something like this..

Site : - Nova tie bar kit (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vauxhall-Nova-Rose-Jointed-Tie-bar-Bkt-Kit-/160496824262?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item255e5b2fc6)

If you are handy with the welder you may be better making some up

Rich (novasport) had a set of rose jointed tie bar mounts lowered for sale at billing for £120

You can get alloy Motorsport radiators for the nova which are double the thickness better for cooling
