With all the build up on our local news with people painting bikes and making artwork in farmers fields etc I thought it would all be a big farce but I've ended up watching both stages on TV - I have to say the whole event has been fantastic, the organisation looked brilliant and the weather was kind lol the routes chosen were well thought out and the Yorkshire scenery and landmarks really are second to none

lots of cyclists (a guess 000's) took advantage of the closed route to do some serious cycling before the race came through

One of the best events in the year! I always try to visit the Tour. Few years ago they were over here, I love the caravan that goes out in front of the riders and the sound of the peloton once they pass you.
