Bonnet pins

Does anyone know if you have to keep the bonnet catch if you have pins?

I kept the catch just in case for MOT reasons or any stupid laws you have to have it on the road, but now I fitted a roll cage its a bit tricky to get to and would rather just get rid of it to be honest...

If anyone knows that would be great :)

I've never heard of anyone having a problem. There may be a rule around a backup mechanism but 2 pins provide a failsafe should one fail.
