The wire is for under bonnet light I think.

wire is for carb engines with choke. black patch is Vauxhalls attempt at soundeading twin 40 hole is for fingering ooooooooohhhhh yay

The wire connects to the pierburg 2e3 from what I remember.

It plugs into the auto choke on a peirburg 2e3 as mines tied up and cable titled to alternator mount :)

Wire tucked behind the alt will be the second feed for the oil light, the two pin sender for pressure gauge goes in place of the switch and thats the second wire for it isn't it?

That's what I thought but when I wired mine in I couldn't find one behind the dash
