Anyone konw if this red gsi is still about? This was the nova that got me into them as my best mates brother built it around 98/99 and had it sent to Courtney for a turbo conversion on the 1.6.

Don't think it is, I know the engine went pop after the owner played around with machining piston crowns & cyl heads to decompress the engine.

Oddly enough this one inspired me to have my GSi Courtney'd also.

Ah right, I remember it going for the conversion and when the wheels arrived boxed up from Courtney looking all shiny. Think he sold it on in 2001 and always wondered where it went. I have very find memories being picked up from the local youth club at 14-15 in it thinking I was the bees knees lol

Dan, is that an audiobahn setup from back in the day?

It was Infinty speakers throughout, the 12's were powered by a Kenwood monoblock and the rest by a 4 channel Boschmann amp. There was a 1 Farad powercap, some fancy blue and purple neons and those lovely acrylic sub grilles! I loved that install, did it all myself. The only thing was that it weighed so much, it was taking two fat friends around with you stuffed into the boot! lol
