Totally agree with you their bud I personally wouldn't touch a car that wasn't registered on the logbook as what it is meant to be

when i did my 1.6-2.5 swap on my e30 i had to have an engineers report to say it was all done correctly, dvla wouldnt change it otherwise. obviously i did it all correctly. tourings run 2.5 brakes etc standard so thats that.

I'd be more concerned by the fact he only has the green slip rather than it still being a 993cc :wtf:

Yeah I'm more than capable about putting an engine number on a log book plus reading that it looks like its never been welded could also throw up problems of having to rip it back out and do the job right and the same as above, Its no a big job to get a new log book in your own name so I wonder why he hasn't?

I went to view this car last week, they guy wanted to part ex it for my van, we decided on the deal and he was supposed to bring it to me along with the cash on Monday then Tuesday, now I can't get hold of him, won't reply to texts or phone calls, he's a total waste of space. The car isn't too bad needs a battery tray as it's rotten as pear, and the paint job is pretty horrific. Didn't drive too bad though.

Something fishy there too, i thought lazer blue was an SR colour, so why would it be a 993cc?
