getting rid of sandwich plate on c20xe

my m8 wants to get rid of oil cooler on his c20xe viva gt,

do we just unsrew it off and screw a shorted oil filter thread bit in

if so wheres the best place to get one from or vauxhall part number

Yeah thats exactly what you do, did have the part number but can't find it now, a quick google search should bring it up though

Pull one off a smallblock Vauxhall at the scrappy, as far as I've seen they all fit.

Almost every 2lt 8v has one, nice easy one too find to.

are they easy to get and what tools do you think ill need to get one out

I think some have an allen key shaped hole up the middle which makes them nicer to remove, otherwise molegrips and a rag so you don't damage the threads

My scrappy removes all the filters before putting out in the yard

10mm allen key yes.

the small block ones dont have an allen key. i used a big easy out to remove one before.
