ok, as we all know it keeps breaking alot, whats going on with it?? data server problem, account suspended etc etc, is it worth saving all my pictures from the site in case it goes completely soon lol, only reason i ask is a simler problem happened a few years ago on the rtoc (renault turbo owners club) and the whole site was lost , for almost 6 months, and a new one was set up for the members...
and before you say it, yes im a sad **** who spends to much time on here lol

I keep looking in on here, hoping for interesting threads, but it seems if it hasn't arrived in the post or pissed you off, then it's never mentioned.

The club logo has been on the rev limiter for years, something's gotta give.
I reckon the rear arches are away as well and they won't take any more generous applications of wob. lol
Must be on some cheap a$$ version of Vbullentin, all the other forums are fine

forums in general are dying, unless they are of mass interest like Pistonheads etc.

I don't think it is all doom and gloom for PNG.
Yes the forum is up and down like a yo-yo but this is clearly something that is fixable and I would be more than willing to help if any technical assistance is required.
The forum does have a core group of enthusiasts that spend a considerable amount of time on here coupled with Nova values are heading in the right direction indicates that PNG has a future.
Agreed that the downtime could have been handled better and some proper communication as via social media would have been nice.
Also sometimes it feels like the Admins and the member's are not at one with each other when in my opinion (and its only my opinion so please don't take offense) we should all be working together to make it a better club and enjoy the cars which brought us here in the first place.
If there is anything I can do to help please feel free to get in touch.

We (spud lol) set up the 'official' facebook page on facebook for stuff like this, but the problem on there is twofold - a) most of us adminy types are much busy at the moment, especially Kev, so don't come on (here) as regularly as we ought to and therefore rely on the members to highlight a crapout. And 2) despite spud creating the 'official' page on FB with all of us mods/admin on it, everyone seems to post on every page BUT that one, so we don't always get alerted to forum crapouts lol
That aside, we've asled Kev to look into changing hosts as the current one seems a bit of a turd

I'm not wanting to do competitions to benefit me in anyway shape or form, to put some fun into the forum, if it's a problem i won't bother,
However i don't want to be posting up competitions to get shot down and banned for it.
So long as you arent advertising then give things away (thats not against the rules... try reading them :) ), if you are advertising then pay the trader thing and then give things away :) quite simple really.
Prob is things like FB kill forums. everyone goes on there to talk and sh*t. Then probs car stuff there... Their photos and all that... Instead of posting them here....
So people can't be arsed to come on a forum, then FB is a click away on a App.
Server and hosting can and is a night mare. We've had loads of probs on Mig with it, Mike was upgrading and changing all the time to be better.. But it's a hell of a lot of work, moving everything.
I'd help out any time, i'll be a mod.

have had a butchers at other sites for various reasons more so when here was down last as got board of the lack of site but I do find it suits me best on here

..but it's back so happy days..

Considering we dont get told till the beginning of June where we all go the owner must be chummy with Total Vauxhall. Fair play to them imo. They got on the facebook band wagon early and it seems the way car clubs are going.
