Will A 1.3 head fit a 1.2 Nova engine

Hi all
I have a Mk1 1.2 Nova with Dizzy problems. I am considering fitting a 1.3 cam for better Dizzy options, and would like to know if a 1.3 head will bolt straight on to my 1.2?

If your just swopping the cam you can get a tool to just remove the cam only if you look them up mine is front Sykes picavant or you could Possably hire one but yes the 1.3 head will fit

Its the 1.4se head that would have the best performance gains :)

1.2 carb head and 1.3 head are the same?..

They have different part numbers so may have different compression but valves etc are the same.

You would need a different inlet manifold as well though as the ports are different.

why dont you just swap the carrier?

1.3 cam will make a slight improvement on a 1.2... the heads are very similar, so there would be no great gain on fitting the top end to a 1.2...

fitting a 1.3 bottom end will give you 15-20 more hp, though
