im looking at getting some 14" teardrops and was wondering what's out there and what's good tyre wise!? I know 15" wheels are well catered for in terms of tyre choice but not sure on 14" rims

main use would get fast road driving so don't want any full slicks etc lol

I'm sure you can get Yokohama A539's in that size?

185/60's are the perfect profile to use. Not as nice looking as lower profile, modern tyres but the handling is awesome on 14's these tyres.

i have 185 60 15 on it right now. i thourght lower profile was better for handling. as the sideways flex less when cornering?

I said A539. From what little i know about them the wear is quite high, a softish compound. But that was on a much heavier car.

185/60r14 is a good tyre for a nova. the speedo gearing is about right on them & its a good handling tyre. you need a decent amount of sidewall to ride over bumps in comfort..

When I used to run 14" wheels I used 185/55/14 there is a good choice of tyres for that size as 106/Saxos run them on the sport models
