View Full Version : Front coilover body choices, trackday car

Trying to decide what to do, both my front Gaz GHA coilovers are now knackered and don't push in/out smoothly, one needs a new piston due to rust.

Ideally I'd like a slightly shorter body in order to have more shock travel at the height I run it at, which Gaz can't modify my current ones for.

Refurbing these via Gaz is £109
Buying new Gaz short body fronts is £336

What other choices are there for a cost effective but good trackday front coilover? If I keep to 2.25" I can reuse my current springs so just after the bodies/units. Will keep my current GHA rears as they seem fine, so not looking to fork out for a full new set at £500+.

Edit: As time is short to get it prepped gonna have the fronts refurbed, and keep an eye out for shorter bodies/upgrades second hand. Thanks all /thread lol

Don't fancy going back to shock/spring setup tbh as I prefer coilover setups, just wondering if it was a good opportunity to upgrade for reasonable monies.

BC offer duel perch coilovers, so you can go low without losing any suspension travel.

Pic of actual Corsa/Nova kit (you can buy fronts separate):

The other alternative is buy some duel perch coilovers off another car (mostly jap cars, civic, evo, 200sx etc) and weld brackets on them to match Nova hole spacing on the hub.
