Mums friend has got her phone bill and it has a premium rate number on it, she rang it and she got the dialing tone like u get for the internet, so if i type the number in my connection on my computer could i find out what it is? Or any other way of finding out what it's for?

try phoning directory enquires or 118 118, I'm sure they will have that number!!! :lol: :roll:

it could be a premium rate fax line, we get them through all the time where they say, fax back now for a special offer....

the fax speed is usually slower, so that it takes a good 3 or 4 minutes to send the fax to them, therefore making them more money.

other than that, I can't help.....
