View Full Version : turbo power
how can you keep the power down on a let?ive heard people say wheelspin in every gear, with this much power how do they manage to get the car going without it spinning on the spot???what im thinking is if it does really happen, is there a point of a let, when a lesser power engine will get the car going quicker hence faster?make any sense?
well, like the one that got 2.83 secs for the quarter mile, 18's for traction.
Add a LSD for some traction too.
lol, forgot about that, how's the lsd work exactly?
Even the EDS twin turbo car has troubleputting the power down, he has to launch in second everytime and still spun like mad when doing that time.
Did do the 2.83 without changing gear though
People do use smaller engines to get the power down better, look at CP's car its a perfect example of small engine with large power, might not be the fastest in a straigh line but will handle better and get off the line quicker than the big block engines.
Its all a matter of balance and knowing what you want from the car when you have finished with it.
Dan off this site also has a very rapid 1600 8v wich will leave most big block engines stood on a line, but he has worked long and hard to get the right balance.
very true, if you know how to do it, go for it, all upto the person at the end of the day.
