PLEASE NOTE: This is a for sale thread so please do not post unless you are interested in anything that is for sale!

As a few of you will know my Carlton attended Castle Combe circuit on Saturday, during lap 2 a small fire in the bay caused by oil igniting on the turbo was discovered. This fire was accompanied by a misfire and it was believed lamda no.1's wiring was fused which freaked the ECU out and caused the misfire.

Today I got hold the repair parts I needed, but the misfire was more serious. Further testing found piston rings on No.2 piston are blown. Still though not a bad run for a 175K factory block! In conclusion the piston ring failure increased air pressure inside the crank which was enough to force oil past the cam cover gasket and onto the red hot turbo... thus the fire :(

It was going to be broken up at the end of the show season anyway, so it makes sense to do it now. Please can people spread the word around about this.

The for sale thread:
All parts can be collected from Oxford, smaller items can be posted for additional cost

Custom dual perch front coilovers with 400lb front springs and adjustable dampening
Double adjustable camber on coilover bottom bracket/perch and top mounts taken from a Nissan S14
Heavily modified front hub carriers reset front suspension geometry for the big drop (a copy of the DTM Omega-A
setup)
Modified shallow front subframe to avoid grounding out
One-off polyurethane front donut bushes (not calibra bodged ones)
Custom dual perch rear coilovers with 225lb springs and adjustable dampening

Heavily modified rear subframe to reset camber for big drop and also raise the rear differential up by 30mm (to correct
driveshaft angles)

Will come with glass, doors, tailgate.
You will not find a chassis that handles better and not harsh on the road

Z20LET underdrive bottom pulley, made by TTV racing, adds 4bhp at the top end but doesn't compromise any driven components (alternator, PAS etc...) £30
Richard Brunt top hat, mandrel bent stainless with map sensor bracket. Amazing quality, fits Z20LET and X20XEV, suitable for RWD variants only £50
VXR AMM, I bought it new and have done about 20K on it £50

Yes I converted it to cable using R25 (Carlton 2.0 8v gearbox) parts.

Will get a pic later, they are the later trim, no bolster wear but the pinstriping is worn
