for gearbox

I have a 20xe engine with a f20 gearbox on and am thinking of changing it to a f16cr gearbox instead is this a wise choice I know gears are gonna be shorter but will it be good or bad..????.? Also Will I have to change the clutch as well or will the 1 that is in there be ok it is the flat type flywheel. .? ANY SUGGESTIONS.

The clutch will be ok although its probably wise to stick a new one in whilst the box is off.
