1.6 GTE into a Corsa 1.2SPi

hello again. my old engine is a GTE unit with box and my mate has got a Corsa and he wants the lump putting in his. it has no power steering. does anyone know are the water pipes the same? now on to the driveshafts......a 1.2SPi inner CV joint is the same as a 1.4SR nova? correct me if i am wrong please, and i am running a drive shaft in my F reg GTE from a 1.4 SR. The big question......will the 1.2SPi shaft from the corsa fit the F13 box. help is needed cos he is one my back, and i need to sell the engine for spending money for my holiday! any info would be apprieciated. thanx

it will all fit fine. hel need to use his own exhaust!! driveshafts fit fine, waterpipes are fine (might end up using some of the corsa pipes and some nova.

obviosuly wiring would need doing but its easy on these.

engine would run fine but advised to get a pump off an mpi corsa (sri/gsi) as he might suffer from low fuel pressure

will the standard corsa exhaust fit to get him going, i was thinking about putting an external fuel pump on off a gte? could i leave the original in-tank pump in and just disconnect the wires?

Buy a length of flexi pipe for the exhaust, should mate up ok as standard but if any probs then use the flexi pipe, is only ?10 for 2m at local motor factors.

Fit the external pump off the GTE.
