i was wondering if anyone could point me in the best direction as to what engine to look out for....

i preferably want to buy a 1.6 engine with the hopes of building it up ready to drop in my mk2, which engine would be best with in mind, one day i would want to turbo it or throttle bodies? and also what modifications would i need to make to the bay, ive currently got a 1.0 so different mounts etc. new loom w/ ecu and that but just looking for a starting point

any comments or suggestions are welcome :)

cheers tyler

Buy a donar car with engine mods done if poss it's running you have everything you need and can sell on any bits left over to make money back

Corsa of tigra x16xe or e / c 16 from Gte Gsi turbo setups can take ages to sort so throttle body's prob better for these engines
to turbo just use Corsa vxr setup 1.6 turbo out the box and save doing it twice

for these motors no mods needed to chassis

1.6 8v is pointless these days with he availability of the 1.6 16v.

read these. then find an x16xe engine, preferably a complete donor car
