Hi all

Advice sought please...
trying to get a nova from Kent to Worcester... Passed my test a couple of years after 1997 so can't hire a trailer...
Anyone know ways round this.. Or any self drive companies to hire and self drive a transporter?

Need to do this on Saturday.....

Cheers
kate :)

Certian you can tow an equal or less weight if the car your driving

Pay somebody to collect it. I got the recovery guy who we use at work to bring the Spider back from London for me and he was pretty cheap. Got to be cheaper than hiring.

depending on the car youre using and the weight of the trailer youre fine.
800kg unbraked
up to 3.5ton braked but NOT to exceed the towing vehicles weight from.my understanding.
so if a nova tow vehicle for example weighs 900kg,including your trailer you cant exceed 900kg
So if ya trailer weighs 300kg the carried car cant be any more than 600kg.

Sort of ^

But don't forget GTW, MAM and recommended towing weights for tow car.

First two are law, third is a guidline but enough to void insurance in the event of an off...

Try Shiply. I've used them three times now without issue!

Yes.. This was the same as the guy on the phone said today... Big bummer... I would just do it... But they need to see my licence before I can rent it :(
