c20xe ignition with carbs

hello, been a while since iv been on here...over a decade to be honest. just bought my self a nova 1.4 shell with c20xe lump in it. its got bike carbs and its the distributor type.

so would i be right in thinking this should be able top run with out an ecu?

i have been trying to get a spark with no luck so far.distributor cap,rotor and leads + plugs are all new.
the wiring is a complete mess and for the time being i would just like to get this engine to fire up

can any one tell me about the coil can it just be "turned on" or is there more to it?

coil doesnt have a live feed, the module does and the coil takes its supply from that

have tested the power to the module seems ok.....do the modules often fail?

solved by buying cav 3 pin kit
