Had my first race this weekend at Brands Hatch ,managed two class wins and a 5 th and 6 th overall ,just couldn't compete with the straight line speed of the class A and B cars ,had a good battle with Ian Butlers Focus until I lost my brakes ,here is a pic of a bit of a lunge up the inside into Druids ,Ian turned in and I had to bail out

I was there yesterday and thought your Nova was astounding.

To see a Nova against such mighty oppposition (and do itself proud) was out of this world. It is a fierce piece of kit!!

Well done, and thanks for some entertaining racing. I felt very sorry for Rick May, when his Escort Cosworth gave up on the last lap and he coasted it into the gravel in front of us and it burst into flames! Luckily the marshalls made sure damage wasnt too severe!

Sounds epic. Always great to hear of Novas slaying bigger machinery, though more playing by the sounds of it.

It was a stunning piece of kit, and led the first race for a time. He looked gutted when he bailed out, although he managed a grin for the marshalls which must have been hard when your pride and joy was smouldering in front of you!!

Look forward to the in car footage!!

I saw on Facebook that he said a rod let go and made a bid for freedom ,I was led to believe that it is a Godfrey rally cross spec engine circa 65 k ,I don't think I could have managed a smile if it were me !.My niece is on the case of the video editing so hopefully soon ,although it normally takes about 12 hrs to load on YouTube
