I was thinking about some of these for my xe daily driver but there not the cheapest things to buy. Is it worth doing and do they make much of a difference to the handling?

For a motorsports car or track day car yes, every day run about no, unless you drive in a manner that will come to the attention of the local Police Force.

Anything that keeps the arms parallel when you start reducing front ride is a good thing.

Anything that can eradicate front to back movement of the front wheels is a good thing.

If you do go this route you'll want the shell bomb proof else that will be the weaker point.
