Good morning all,

I have just joined and have not been on this forum before, so hopefully I'm posting in the correct place (apologies if I'm not).

I am very out of touch with Nova's and am looking for some advice or a steer in the right direction as to what my Nova is worth these days.

Is there a specific area on the site to do this?

Welcome to the mad house.

For future reference, what it is worth threads are not allowed. If you want to sell it, then put a price on it, someone will either pay it or they won't.

I keep getting people ask me if I want to sell mine. (Bearing in mind I have been rebuilding it, it has some crash damage, and generally looks like a shed) and when I say "yeah, if you got £800 you are welcome to take it off me", they always turn around and say that it isn't worth that, I'll give you scrap money for it. I tell them to politely jog on. If someone genuinely offered that amount, then I would probably still decline but only after a serious amount of thought!

Thanks for your replies, I have not been on forums for a few years and don't to start off on a new one by posting things I shouldn't.

I have a wide arch 2.0l 8v GTE. I would say it is 85% completed and probably like most other members on here, I have spent way too much money on it, but just don't have the time or inclination to complete it to be totally honest, now I am playing with my track car.

I will try to upload some pictures in a short while when I am home and have my laptop on.

I am too honest of a person to say that hasn't been part of why I have joined. Unfortunately I am a bit of a hermit and don't leave these forums when I sell my car (last example of this was stay on a M3 forum for 2-3 years after selling my car), but seeing and talking to other people with similar cars makes it soooo difficult to let go!!!

Hi,

Sorry for the delay I have been trying to get to grips with the site and trying to work out how to do things as I am useless with computers.

I am waiting for admin to authorise some links on a post I have done, but the I will repeat part of what that message said.

I am too honest not to admit that I have joined the forum to gain some info as really I do now need to move my project on (big pressure from the wife as I have a track car aswell), but unfortunately for you lot I do have a habit of hanging around like a bad smell for a long periods of time (after selling my M3 I was still posting on that forum for 2-3 years - bit sad like that), so will no doubt be sticking my nose into threads which don't concern me.

ah you had this on eBay what you looking for it realistic I think most on here not intrested in the bumpers/ wings tbh prob to return it to Gte if viable so I'd bare that in mind it's a tough croud selling cars on here lol parts yes cars not so much

To be totally honest I kind of had a feeling that would be the reaction on a forum site, but its usually the best source of info to give me the best steer.

Its back on Ebay now, listed it earlier this evening, hoping for upwards of a grand, as last time it was listed it got to just over a grand, but I had a really high reserve on it as I didn't really want to sell it. Thinking I could break it and sell the parts off for at least a grand, albeit it would kill me to do that with the amount of time and effort I have put into it.
