how will i know if my mk1 nova is cammed

hi all how would i know if my mk1 nova sr 1300 is cammed as since iv had it its ran lumpy on idle even when its warm but when i slightly rev it. It will run fine and drives fine and pulls quite well for a 1300

Take the cam out and have a look, can't see any other sure fire way of knowing.

If you take the distributor off there should be stamped on the end the type of aftermarket cam my sr engine has a piper cam and is stamped with bp300

As Chris said, Kent cams have numbers and codes stamped on them too but you'll know by looking if it's original or not.

It is more than likely to be the idle mixture in the carb.
