What do you have to do to fit gsi clocks to a nova 1.2 merit plus what has to be changed to fit the gsi clocks

If the 1.2 is a 1.2i, everything will work except the oil pressure gauge, you need to get the two pin sender (start saving your pennies now) and run a wire from the second pin to the pin on the back of the clocks.

Surely the sender is a mass used part? ie on cavs/astras etc etc?

does the rev counter need wiring in on an 1.2i? read on here its needs a coil lead..

Green wire is rev counter so just need to route that to the dash from coil and oil switches can be pritty pricey these days

The green wire should already be fitted to the connector if it's a Mk2 so the rev counter should work without any changes. apart from the oil p[ressure gauge it should be plug in and play.

My 1.0 has the 6 clock set up but there is no space for an oil pressure gauge switch because it's right beside the oil filter (ohv engine) so I just moved the needle to the middle position and it's a placeebo. The oil light will still work as normal.

You can get extension tubes for the oil switch I'm sure and elbows etc if not get one machined up will be fairly cheap but I'm sure I've seen them possibly a ford item iirc for Rs turbo oil take off mods
i did not think mk2 looms had rev counters in them as standard

I didn't think the Mk2 had the wire in the loom either and ran one from the coil to the rev counter, wondered why ot was playing up when it was already wired up lol.

Just looked at mine and there is a green wire going from the coil so I'm guessing my car has this wire built in the loom

Yes, you'll see a green wire on the multi plug for the dash instrument cluster

Yes I could see the green from the coil at the connector of the back of the dials
